Mahjong is a game based upon player’s skill, not chance. This is totally different to lotteries
or games played in casinos, where the players are faced with same random odds. Moreover,
players never play against “the house/dealer” and there is always a winner based on the
player’s skills.

are a few states within the U.S. that have not permitted skill-based games to be played for cash or prizes yet. If you live in one of these states, you can only play at MahjongTime on a free basis without cash or prizes.
