This month, we have a very special player player in your spotlight: The president of the Italian Federation of Mah-Jong, Foschi Marco (username: marcogama). Forschi is a very big part of the global Mahjong community; his hard work has brought many Italian Mahjong lovers (along with other European players) together for tournaments, events, and great, competitive fun! He currently holds multiple brown belts at Mahjong Time (Brown Belt two black stripes in MCR and Brown Belt on black stripe in TW), and ranks 13th in the overall MCR Mahjong Time rankings! Mahjong Time got the chance to ask Forschi a few questions:
Q: What do you like about multiplayer Mahjong?
Multiplayer Mahjong is original, stimulating, and it increases a player’s abilities!
Q: How often do you play online?
Lately appointments and a job don't allow me to play so much, also at the moment we are organizing oemc2011 of Mahjong in Venezia and we are very busy. I will return to play more often when I’m more free...
Q: How long have you played at Mahjong Time?
Q: What do you like the most about Mahjong Time?
Clear and well structured base, many players at every time of the day... Mahjogn TIme is the best one to pass the leisure time!!
Q: Tell us more about yourself! What would other Mahjong Time players be surprised to know about you?
Many European Mahjong Time players know me through tournaments to the green table. I have been in love with this game for 12 long years and currently I am president of the FIMJ(Italian Federation of Mah-Jong). I’m a very pleasant person outside of the game table, but absolutely uncomfortable at the table... :)
Q: Which style of Mahjong do you like best? Why is this your favorite and why?
Italian style ...( it doesn't foresee at Mahjong Time ) ... MCR, and sometimes play also to Taiwanese ad Riichi...
Q: What is better: playing live or playing online?
Q: On the subject of online play, what kind of advice would you give to the online player?
Also play live, otherwise you’ll never be a complete player!!
