A special message from Mahjong Time

This month, we are spotlighting a true love story! Anna Chan (username: SivarsPooky) and Peter Chan (username: killerrabbitxxx) are soul mates who have recently married! The twist? Anna and Peter met on Mahjong Time! At first, Anna and Peter were Canadian strangers playing in the same Taiwanese guild: “sp”. Through many hours of gameplay and conversation, Anna and Peter became great friends, and as fate would have it, fell in love! Peter decided to take the 5-hour flight from Vancouver to Toronto, and their real-life meeting convinced the couple that they could never leave each other’s side again! Since then, Anna and Peter have married and are expecting their first child. As of now they both belong to the guild "Scholars" wherein Anna is the guild leader. Its amazing stories like this that bring a smile to all of our faces, and convince us at Mahjong Time that the community is not only about online gaming, but friendship and even love happens as well! Best of luck to Anna, Peter and all men, women, friends, and lovers who make up the Mahjong Time community! We got the chance to ask Anna and Peter a few questions:

Q: How did you originally discover multiplayer Mahjong?

Anna: A friend of mine introduced me to mjt about a year ago since we used to play mahjong in real life

Peter: My brother told me about this site so I browse through it and started liking it

Q: How often do you play online?

Anna: Oh! Very often than not (:

Peter: We play alot most specially when we have a guild coz we're very competitive we usually like to join the "underdogs" to give them a chance of winning the weekly competition

Q: How long have you played at Mahjong Time?

Anna: I started May of last year

Peter: About 2 years now

Q: When did you two decide to meet in real life?

Anna: lol!!!! I don't really know he told me that "he would love to meet me in person" and I said yes thinking that he was just joking

Peter: I actually decided to meet her after 2 weeks of talking to her due to the fact that she has a great personality online and over the phone

Q: Do you play together often?

Anna: No, we don't play together that much because we're both strong players and we have agreed that accumulating more points for the guild means playing separately

Peter: In that span of time that we played I can count how many times we sat on the same table

Q: What do you like the most about Mahjong Time?

Anna: Interacting with other people. Meeting people around the world and most specially making friends

Peter: "cash games" hahaha

Q: Tell us more about yourself! What would other Mahjong Time players be surprised to know about you?

Anna: I don't think that I have anything up my sleeves that will surprise anyone at MJT all I can say is my friends will always be my friends and my enemies are still my friends..I don't waste my energy crying over spilt milk hahahaha

Peter: ask my wife :-)

Q: Which style of Mahjong do you like best? Why is this your favorite and why?

Anna: I like TW!! Mp6 specially because I like making big hands and it rattles my brains when doing so although sometimes I still misdeclare lol

Peter: RCR it's more challenging for me

Q: What is better: playing live or playing online?

Anna: Playing online is thrilling while in a guild, live hmmm I play mostly with family, so I have to say online, more interaction to people from all walks of life

Peter: That's where we differ I think live is better at least I know that am playing with real people not the computer who chooses which tile I get LOL

Q: On the subject of online play, what kind of advice would you give to the online player?

Anna: Have fun and enjoy the games you play, and if you're on a guild "it is just a friendly competition" no need to create enemies when you're suppose to be making friends, it's only a game

Peter: Mahjong is 30% skills 70% luck....on a good day you have luck go for it....am a bit cocky on this field coz I know my games too well, so if you have the skills prove it :-)

Q: Who is the better Mahjong player? ;)

-----------Anna is very good at TW that I have no doubt but I know I am better than her in RCR!!!! I love you hun hahaha
